Mary Owens is the leader of Owen & Owens Family Law Team and focuses her practice on family law, real estate and other civil litigation matters. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech and received her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1986.
Mary is a founding member and former president of the Metro Richmond Family Law Bar, and a past president of the Chesterfield County Bar Association. She was appointed to the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Committee and the Professionalism Course Faculty. Mary is well respected among her peers and has been recognized in Virginia Business magazine’s Legal Elite since 2001. Since 2006 she has been selected for Virginia Super Lawyers in the family law category, and for the second year in a row, Mary has received the added distinction as one of the “Top 25 Female Super Lawyers” in Virginia.
Sam Kaufman represents both businesses and individuals in general and civil litigation and real estate matters. Sam began his legal practice in 2002 after earning his J.D. from the Albany Law School of Union University. He graduated from the Jepson Leadership School at the University of Richmond where he was a member of the Spiders’ varsity football team.
Sam is a past chairman of the Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce, the vice president for planning and operations for the University of Richmond Alumni Association, and the chairman of the Chesterfield County Economic Development Advisory Council. Since 2009, he has been selected for “Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars” in the category of general litigation.
