On May 1, 2023, Julie M. Cillo was sworn in as the Richmond Bar Association’s 138th President, and its 6th female president. She will take office June 1, 2023. Julie has been active in the Richmond Bar Association since 2006 and has served the Association in many roles including on the Executive Committee, the Judiciary Committee, Finance Committee, the Administration of Justice Committee, the CLE Committee, the Long Range Planning Committee, and as Co-chair of the Annual Bench Bar Conference.
Julie is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received her law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law. She is a partner and family law attorney at Owen & Owens, PLC.
Julie is also active in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers where she is President-Elect of the Virginia Chapter; she currently sits on the Virginia Content for post:
Family Law Coalition and has previously served on the Board of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, as chair of the VTLA Family Law Section, and as president of the Metro Richmond Family Law Bar Association.
She is a proud member of LMR Class of 2009.
