Mediation is a process parties can use for resolving a dispute out of court and without litigation. In the area of family law, The mediation process involves using a trained mediator to assist the parties with better communication to help them resolve their conflict out of court. Mediation can be applied to all family law cases including custody, visitation, child and spousal support as well as the division of debts and assets of the parties. Mediation is usually less stressful, less emotional, and less expensive and is geared to resolve the outstanding issues between the parties.
