SAM KAUFMAN NAMED SENIOR FELLOW OF LITIGATION COUNSEL OF AMERICA

Richmond, Virginia attorney Samuel J. Kaufman, of the law firm Owen & Owens PLC has been named a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). Kaufman is managing partner of his firm. A 1999 graduate of the University of Richmond, Kaufman received his Juris Doctor degree from the Albany Law School of Union University in 2002. He has represented numerous clients around the country in both federal and state courts and has argued cases before the Supreme Court of Virginia and other prominent courts. Kaufman regularly represents clients in a wide array of industries including in the transportation, real estate, construction, lending, and technology sectors, and further serves as national outside counsel to some of the country’s leading companies.

The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. Kaufman is also active in his community, where he has served as the president and chair of several community and civic organizations.
